The good about this product is it cools a small room quickly, is easy to set-up, and is fairly quiet compared to others. It also offers a long exhaust hose and long power cord. The bad news, there's an audio BEEP made every time a button is pushed. The unit beeps each time a button on the remote is pressed. The BEEP is LOUD. There's no way to quiet this audible recognition for every button push. For being listed as lightweight, the unit still holds its own when transporting up stairs.
Review by Light sleeper 16/07/2019Nowhere in any description do you mention the insanity of needing an external bucket to have the water drain into unless you want to have to (from your instructions) "move the unit to a drain location, remove the bottom drain plug and let the water drain away". What??? How many people have a drain location?? I just don't understand, I can't turn off the dehumidifier function and am now terrified the hose is going to come out of the BUCKET. I am disabled and this is ridiculous.
Review by Stressed 23/07/2022I bought this type of portable air conditioner because I am elderly and moved into an apartment without AC and I could not lift a window AC. I was very disappointed to know that this unit has to be drained like a dehumidifier. I have no floor drain, and I can't lift the unit. I did try to empty it, I tried both drain plugs, but it still gave me the message P! which means it needs to be drained. I had water all over the floor even though I tried to used the drain "hose". This is just a dehumidifier with a cooling unit. I was not aware of how it needed to be drained until after I used it.
