Where do I find my unit’s model and serial numbers?
All the units have two stickers on the exterior: One in the rear, one on the right side or both, depending of the model. One sticker with the model number plus information about the unit and another sticker with a bar code and the serial number (S/N), with a length of 22 digits and letter combinations.
Does my unit come with a manual?
The unit comes with a plastic bag containing: Energy Guide, Warranty Certificate, Product Registration Card and User’s Manual. Please check that the unit was installed and used correctly, according to the user’s manual before calling for service.
Why is my unit making abnormal noises?
Normal refrigerator sounds include gurgling of refrigerant, humming of the compressor, bang of the ice breaking off the evaporator, clicking of the ice maker, buzzing of the fan motors and slushing of the defrost water.
Why is my freezer not cooling properly?
Check to see that your settings are correct. If your unit comes with a temperatur knob, the larger the number, the colder your unit will run. Some equipment has a freezer door switch, do not set it at the maximum, but put it in the middle or small gear, otherwise the freezer cooling speed will slow down. If the weight of food put in at once is more than one tenth of the nominal volume, the speed of freezing will be significantly slower. If it continues to fail to freeze for 24H, there may be a refrigerant leak and an engineer is needed to fix it.
Why is my freezer over freezing.
First, if your unit has a temperature control knob, a larger number indicates a colder setting. Confirm that your temperature setting is correct. If the temperature setting is normal and the door seals are good, but the temperature is still too low, there may be a refrigerant leak, or a bad thermostat.
Why is my refrigerator freezing?
Frosting occurs when moist air comes in contact with the inside of the freezer. This is accomplished by opening and closing the door frequently. defrost products require occasional manual defrosting, no frost products defrost automatically. If there is excessive frosting, make sure the door or seal is completely closed. Feel around the seal for air leaks. If no air is felt, close the door with a piece of paper between the door seal and the freezer. Pull the piece of paper out. If it pulls out easily, it is likely that your freezer is not level, or your door hinges must be tightened.
Why is my ice maker not making ice at all?
Ice will only be made if the following conditions are met: the ice maker function has been turned on, the ice probe lever can move freely up and down when power is applied, an external water source can automatically enter the ice maker, and the temperature of the freezer is low enough.
What can I do if I detect an odour in my freezer?
Odours in your freezer can be caused by how food is stored. Some foods have a strong odour, so be sure to cover them tightly. Sometimes odours can also be caused by certain containers and wrapping materials (such as paper, foil, or plastic). If you think this might be the case, try using different containers or a different brand of wrapping material. If food has gone bad, on auto defrosting units, the defrosted water carrying the bad odour sits on the rear defrost water pan until it evaporates, causing bad smells on the rear exterior. After you’ve checked how your food is stored, try cleaning the interior of your freezer with a sponge, warm water, and baking soda.
