BERLIN, GERMANY, Sept. 5, 2026 – Midea, one of the brands within the Smart Home Business of Fortune Global 500 company Midea Group, is showcasing its latest innovations at IFA 2026, under a single, clarifying idea: “Simply ideal”.
Guided by the Group’s mission to integrate with the world and inspire the future, and its vision to bring great innovations to life, Midea is presenting a portfolio focused on what matters to modern households: more intelligent living, greater comfort, more time, lower costs and unobtrusive design. This focus on everyday life reflects Midea’s continued efforts to bring more thoughtful technology to homes around the world. In Europe, this commitment is further strengthened by a new five-year partnership with FC Barcelona.

On the show floor, the “Simply ideal” philosophy comes to life across two connected spaces. The Midea Suites lead with the newly launched SMART MASTER, reflecting Midea’s continued exploration of AI-powered solutions for the home, alongside AI ECOMASTER, SPACE MASTER and the BUILT-IN Series. The Midea Scenarios area places these innovations in real household settings, showing how they can support the increasingly diverse rhythms of modern life.

Rounding out Midea Group’s presence in Berlin is TEKA, an esteemed brand from within the group’s Smart Home Business.
The Midea Suites: Ways to Master the Home
At the heart of it all is SMART MASTER, Midea’s AI-powered home ecosystem, showcasing Midea’s evolution from intelligent standalone appliances to integrated whole-home AI solutions. At its core is the AI Agent, which lets appliances understand what users say, interpret their needs and respond naturally.

Supporting 140 languages with an 8-metre voice recognition range and a 0.4-second response time, the system can be accessed through appliance-native voice entry points integrated into the air conditioner, refrigerator and built-in oven. Users can also interact with it through external entry points, including the Midea app, in-car systems, smart speakers and phone voice assistants, enabling a consistent experience across devices and settings.

The AI Agent connects every aspect of your life. When someone arrives home, a single voice command activates Welcome Home mode, allowing Comfort Agent to coordinate air conditioning, humidification and laundry. At dinnertime, Health Agent uses ingredients in the refrigerator to suggest meals and coordinate cooking appliances. Throughout the day, Efficiency Agent helps manage energy across the home, while Service Agent responds when an appliance needs attention, from maintenance and fault guidance to after-sales support and real-time video assistance.

Within the SMART MASTER showcase, Midea Robot brings AI into the physical world through live demonstrations at the IFA booth. Robots handle tableware and dish baskets, prepare popcorn and hand it to visitors, while a bipedal robot greets the audience, waves and dances.

These demonstrations offer a practical view of Midea’s exploration of next-generation embodied intelligence and robotics. Built on the EAGLES system architecture, Midea Robot combines one intelligent brain with four multimodal foundation models to support applications across kitchen assistance, laundry, cleaning, companionship and whole-home control.

Where SMART MASTER takes care of convenience, AI ECOMASTER takes care of the bill. It starts with individual appliances and connects them into a coordinated home network, learning household routines and adapting to changing energy needs. Beyond the home, it works with the wider ecosystem, using solar power when available and stored power when grid prices rise.
Powered by cloud connectivity, advanced analytics and AI trained on a giga-scale dataset, the system continuously manages how power is used, supporting greater flexibility and everyday comfort.

For homes where every inch is spoken for, whether a new-build apartment or a converted flat, SPACE MASTER delivers one core idea: more capacity within the same size, maximizing the value of every inch of space. The concept is embodied in the Midea SPACE MASTER Refrigerator, using thoughtful engineering to maximise storage without increasing its size.
The same philosophy extends to other home appliances, including the Built-in Oven, which fits standard built-in dimensions yet provides an exceptionally large 92-liter cavity with multi-level cooking, enabling users to roast and bake simultaneously without requiring additional kitchen space.
Alongside the Midea MASTER Suites, the BUILT-IN Series is Midea’s answer to the modern European kitchen. In a room where cabinetry, worktops and appliances are meant to read as a single design, the BUILT-IN Series ensures every element blends seamlessly into the whole. Drawing on Milanese design language, the Ispira collection covers ovens, hobs, hoods, refrigerators and dishwashers, so the kitchen holds together as one piece rather than a set of appliances fitted alongside each other.

Midea Scenarios: Innovation Inside Real Household Settings
Alongside the Suite, Midea brings its full range of everyday appliances into three staged household zones.
Air Treatment leads the way. As Europe’s summers grow hotter, air conditioning is moving from an occasional comfort to an everyday necessity. Yet households are also facing higher energy costs and stricter standards on efficiency and refrigerants. The challenge is no longer simply how to keep homes cool, but how to do so without driving up energy use or environmental impact.

At the centre of Midea’s Air Treatment zone, the R290 Series offers one response. Midea’s advanced compressor and safety-sealing technologies work with R290 refrigerant to deliver around 10 percent higher energy efficiency. R290 also has an ultra-low global warming potential, near-zero CO₂ emissions and no harmful PFAS. Midea is extending the technology across both commercial and residential applications. Its residential solutions include the H-Pack and PortaSplit, with PortaSplit scheduled to adopt R290 in 2027.
Midea has been the world’s leading R290 air conditioner manufacturer for 16 consecutive years. Between 2018 and 2025, the company sold more than 10 million units worldwide, helping to reduce emissions by 5.2 million tCO₂e, equivalent to the CO₂ absorbed by 6.2 million hectares of Amazon rainforest.

In residential heating, alongside the R290 series, Midea also introduced the all-new Arctic S4 split heat pump. It features a next-generation R454C environmentally friendly refrigerant, already meeting the EU’s 2027 regulatory requirements ahead of time. During this year's show, the Arctic S4 was also awarded the Heat Pump KEYMARK certification.

The kitchen zone walks visitors through the journey of a family meal, from the first grocery run to the final plate back in the cupboard. The Visionary Series brings this story to life in the refrigerator showcase, where every shelf is designed to earn its space and keep what’s inside for longer. GlassVision lets users check inside without opening the door, cutting cold-air loss along the way, while SmartSense Light Pro provides hands-free lighting and Soft LED Wall delivers clear, even illumination, so everyday food storage feels effortless.

When it is time to cook, Midea’s hob innovations make both installation and everyday meal preparation easier. The InfiniteFit Series features an ultra-slim design that fits neatly into almost any European kitchen without requiring a front ventilation opening, preserving the cabinet space below. Its QuadJet four-channel cooling system also helps the hob run cooler and more efficiently. For home cooks seeking a more flexible cooking experience, OmniFlex technology creates an open cooking surface with unprecedented culinary versatility. No boundaries in placement. No restrictions on size. No compromises on material.

When food moves from the kitchen to the table, the PizzaPro takes over. It’s a built-in oven designed for the kind of cooking you love to share with others, from pizza nights and Sunday roasts to family gatherings. Graphene Turbo Airflow heats up in 0.2 seconds and supports baking at up to 350°C, while the 81L cavity accommodates four trays at once.

And when the meal ends, Midea’s pioneering Tri-GreenApex System combines washing, drying and storage in one integrated process. It uses around 50 percent less energy than Europe’s top A-rated standard, delivers express drying in 30 minutes, and keeps tableware dry for up to 168 hours.

Over in the laundry zone, modern families are washing more types of clothing than ever before. Baby clothes, sportswear, pet clothing, delicates and everyday cottons often need separate care, turning a single load into several rounds of washing. Midea’s concept family laundry room shows how one well-organised space can make that routine easier.
Multi-drum appliances allow different loads to be washed separately at the same time, without taking over the room. Families can choose all-in-one or stackable configurations and add a dedicated shoe washer to suit their space and routines. Hero products from the OMNI SERIES include the Omni Fusion, Omni DUO, Omni Trio and Omni Ped S, allowing households to create a flexible laundry system around their individual needs.

Midea continues to explore solutions that connect the whole home ecosystem. At IFA 2026, Tobin Richardson, President and CEO of the Connectivity Standards Alliance, took the stage at Midea’s booth to introduce Matter, an open, secure and interoperable framework that allows devices to work across ecosystems, and highlight Midea’s role in bringing the standard to smart appliances.
Midea × FC Barcelona: A Landmark Partnership
2026 marks a landmark year for the brand, as Midea begins a five-year partnership with FC Barcelona from the 2026/27 season. Its logo appears on the club’s shirt sleeve for the first time, extending across matchday and training kit, with full brand presence at the club’s La Liga home fixtures.

At IFA 2026, Midea celebrates the partnership with an immersive FC Barcelona-themed experience at its booth. Visitors can take part in the Shoot Like a Star football challenge, with 15 seconds to score into designated targets and compete for Midea × FC Barcelona co-branded prizes. FC Barcelona legend Carles Puyol also made a special appearance, during which he reflected on his career and shared his perspectives on leadership, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence at the highest level. His presence embodies the shared commitment of Midea and FC Barcelona to world-class performance, reinforcing the ambition at the heart of their partnership.
