November 4, 2025 - Midea Group, a global leader in home appliances and smart living technology, has once again been recognized as a "Flagship Brand" in the 2025 FORBES CHINA GO-INTERNATIONAL 30&30 SERIES SELECTION.

This marks the second consecutive year Midea has earned this distinction, reaffirming its commitment to long-term globalization and sustainable brand development.

The 2025 FORBES CHINA GO-INTERNATIONAL 30&30 SERIES SELECTION highlights leading Chinese enterprises advancing from product exports to ecosystem co-creation. The awards are divided into four categories Flagship BrandsLeading BrandsInvestment Value Brands, and Leading Figures - reflecting China's growing sophistication and systemic innovation in the global business landscape.

Midea began its globalization journey in the 1980s. In over four decades of consistent growth, has established a strong global footprint. In the first half of 2025, Midea's overseas revenue reached RMB 107.2 billion, up 17.7% year-on-year, with self-owned brands contributing more than 45% of its overseas smart home business revenue. Today, Midea operates in over 200 countries and regions, transitioning from "going global" to "deeply rooted globally".

From Product Export to Ecosystem Building

As Midea products continue to achieve leading market positions across key categories and regions, product excellence remains the foundation of Midea's global ecosystem. Midea products are internationally renowned with air conditioners in Brazil and Egypt, refrigerators in MalaysiaSaudi Arabia, and Chile, washing machines in Malaysia, and small appliances such as microwave ovens and refrigerators in JapanThailand, and Vietnam - all ranking.

In February, Euromonitor International certified Midea as the No.1 global brand in smart home appliance sales, further underscoring its leadership in innovation and quality.

In Europe - Midea's benchmark OBM market, the company launched the EU A++ rated PortaSplit DIY air conditioner and CirQHP Indoor Hybrid heating system tailored for Nordic consumers. PortaSplit, named among TIME magazine's Best Inventions of 2025, sold-out for two consecutive summers in Germany.

Behind these achievements lies Midea's robust global R&D network - the "2+4+N" innovation model, encompassing two global innovation centers, four major R&D hubs, and multiple specialized research units worldwide. Over the past three years, Midea's R&D investment exceeded RMB 43 billion with RMB 8.8 billion invested in the first half of 2025 alone.

In July, Midea opened its Global Innovation Park in Shanghai, integrating technology, offices and R&D departments to accelerate cross-regional collaboration.

Globally, Midea is replicating its "Local R&D–Manufacturing–Service" closed-loop model across international markets, expanding manufacturing bases in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Brazil, and Mexico. Notably, the Midea Thailand Factory was recognized by the World Economic Forum as the first overseas "Lighthouse Factory" in the home appliance industry, following its earlier honors as a "Green Factory" by Thailand's Ministry of Industry and the "Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough in Asia" award by Asia Mobile Awards (AMO) - achieving a rare "triple crown" in the sector.

In Europe, Midea deepened its "In Europe, For Europe" strategy through the acquisition of Teka, leveraging its century-old distribution network in the Iberian Peninsula, and Clivet's network of over 400 partners across the region.

In 2025, the MBT Climate R&D Center officially opened in Padua, Italy, establishing a new benchmark for HVAC innovation.

By the end of 2025, Midea will have added 18 new overseas manufacturing bases, bringing the global total to 63 alongside new subsidiaries in Panama, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq - reinforcing its commitment to local operations worldwide.

to a World-Class Brand

At IFA 2025 in Berlin, under the theme "Master Your Home", Midea unveiled the MASTER COLLECTION series of smart home solutions and its new Mira AI robot assistant, addressing diverse consumer needs across continents - from intelligence and efficiency to spacious design and energy savings.

These launches reflected Midea's global vision of making better living accessible to every household.

Beyond products, Midea continues to expand its global sports marketing presence, fostering emotional resonance with consumers across continents.

In 2025, Midea announced a long-term partnership with FC Barcelona, becoming the Main Sleeve Partner for the club from the 2026-2027 season onwards.

The collaboration adds to Midea's growing sports portfolio, which includes partnerships with the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, AFCON 2025, 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, and various continental tournaments such as the AFC Champions League and Copa Sudamericana, alongside club partnerships with Manchester City, Sevilla FC, and Ferencváros TC.
