Midea Cup 2023
To support the growth of football in Indonesia, Midea held the "Midea Cup 2023".
JAKARTA - Football is one of the most popular sports in Indonesia. This sport is played at all levels, from children, men, and women, both young and old. Supporting the growth of talented soccer athletes in the country, Midea Indonesia (PT MIDEA PLANET INDONESIA) in collaboration with JSC (Jakarta School Competition) organized the Midea Cup 2023.
Held on December 9, 2023, the match which was divided into three categories namely U14, U16, and U19 took place at the Astro Field, Main Field, and Jubilee Field British School Jakarta. There are 14 teams (1 team consisting of 14 players and 2 referees) taking part. At U14 there were BSJ, BSJ, TARA SALVIA (TSS), JIS, LFJ (French School). In U16, BSJ, AL AZHAR SYIFA BUDI (ASB), ACS, VICTORY PLUS (SVP), and TARUMA are participated.
At U19, the championship was followed by BSJ, AL AZHAR SYIFA BUDI (ASB), LFJ, SISKG-NEJ (Singapore School), and JIS. Winners received trophies and Midea official merchandise. "Soccer is the most popular sport in Indonesia. And Midea Indonesia supports the development of Indonesian soccer. Through Midea Cup 2023, we collaborate with JSC League to support the growth of Indonesian soccer athletes," said Jack Ding as President Director of Midea Indonesia.
Jack Ding also praised the young talents. He sees that Indonesian football continues to experience better development. "With the Midea Cup 2023, hopefully these young talents will be more honed and can have a career in professional soccer and bring Indonesia's name to the international arena," he said.
