The launch of the “1-Year Replacement Guarantee” program is Midea's commitment to providing the best service by offering free unit replacement for any product malfunction within one year.

Semarang, July 15, 2025 – Midea Electronics Indonesia proudly announces the launch of its latest after-sales program, “1-Year Replacement Guarantee”, with a strong commitment to being the Right Choice, Guaranteed Fast. This program is designed to provide customers with convenience in handling product malfunctions.

The program covers various Midea electronic household appliances, including rice cookers, air fryers, induction cookers, water dispensers, air coolers, and electric fans. This program specifically applies to products imported by PT Midea Planet Indonesia and is valid for purchases made from June 1, 2025. Consumers across Indonesia are entitled to a 1-year protection guarantee from the date of the first purchase receipt/invoice.

“This is a form of our genuine commitment and appreciation to consumers who have loyally chosen Midea products to meet their household needs. If the product is damaged, consumers can exchange it within 1 year,” said Mukhamad Qidam, Branch Manager of Midea Electronics Indonesia, in Semarang, Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

If consumers experience a product malfunction, they simply need to contact Midea’s WhatsApp Call Center at +6282211888523. The Midea service center team will provide guidance related to the issue, and if the unit is confirmed to be damaged, Midea will replace it with a new unit delivered directly to the customer’s address at no additional cost.

Furthermore, after the 1-year period ends, the standard warranty still applies according to the terms listed based on the date of the purchase invoice/receipt. The shipping costs for the damaged unit and the replacement of the new unit via the appointed courier will be fully covered by Midea. Consumers are also advised to keep the original packaging/carton box, purchase receipt/invoice, and warranty card as supporting documents for the claim process.

This program applies to purchases at all offline stores as well as e-commerce platforms throughout Indonesia,” said Riswandi, Product Manager for Small Domestic Appliances, Midea Electronics Indonesia.

For more details, here’s how to submit a product replacement claim with Midea:

  1. Consumers must contact Midea’s Official Business WhatsApp (0822 1188 8523) to report the product damage and begin the replacement process.
  2. Consumers must send a video showing the problem or product damage via Midea’s Official Business WhatsApp.
  3. A new unit replacement will be valid only once the consumer has received an approval message and report number from Midea’s Official Business WhatsApp.
  4. Consumers must send the purchase invoice and warranty card.
  5. After confirmation from the service team, the damaged product must be sent in the original box with secure packaging.
  6. The damaged unit must be sent to a Lion Parcel drop point or picked up if the Lion Parcel network supports that service.
  7. Shipping costs for the damaged product will be covered by Midea.
  8. Consumers can also send it via a Lion Parcel partner, pay the shipping fee upfront, and then claim the cost back from Midea.

Terms and Conditions for the Claim:

  1. The damage must be manufacturer-related and due to normal consumer use.
  2. Consumers cannot claim if the damage is caused by misuse or negligence, such as dropping the product, water damage, or other specific conditions, as determined during inspection by the service team.
  3. The Midea service team has the authority to determine the product damage after further inspection.
