I'm glad mine broke 1 week shy of my 1-year warranty expiring, unlike some other unlucky souls, as I was able to get a refund (that's apparently all support can offer you - no troubleshooting or things to try, just "oh well, here is your money back"). My issue started about a week ago where the unit would go past the pre-set humidity level (like 35 or 40) and try to go all the way down to 30 before it sounded like a helicopter circling my house (that was the noise from any other room in the house). before it lurched hard to a stop. Rinse and repeat every time it started up again. I think whatever is supposed to tell it to stop at X humidity level stopped working and the thing just kept going until it couldn't anymore. I wish their power cord was a little longer as they don't want you to plug it into anything but a wall outlet (no power strips or even extension cords).
Review by HotFix 07/08/2023The main reason I bought this is the pump feature and secondary the smart functions. While this unit still dehumidifies the pump doesn't work and I see nothing anywhere on the internet about this issue. I can't be the only one. I'll have to crack open this unit blindly and take out pump and see what is wrong with it. The pump quit working after only one summer season. To recap, pump enabled, filter clean, pump pickup tube drops down into reservoir, reservoir is full and unit shuts off when full.
Review by Another thing to fix 01/07/2023Most dehumidifiers are supposed to work for at least 5 to 10 years. Midea dehumidifers work for 14 months and then you have a piece of garbage going into a landfill. Don't waste your money. Buy something else if you can.
