Keppel DHCS (Keppel Group) Visits Midea to Explore Strategic Cooperation in Sustainable Development
2025/07/28

On June 11, a delegation from Keppel DHCS, a subsidiary of Keppel Group, paid an official visit to Midea. The visit provided a comprehensive overview of Midea’s development journey, core business segments, and global strategic layout. The delegation toured the 08 Space Exhibition Hall and the High-Efficiency Machine Room, and conducted on-site inspections of two benchmark projects in energy efficiency and carbon reduction — Heyou Hospital and the West Zone of Midea Industrial Park.

During the visit, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as global green development opportunities, smart city construction, and deepening regional cooperation. The Keppel delegation expressed strong interest in Midea’s innovation achievements, particularly in the field of intelligent energy-saving solutions for buildings.

Through the site visits and technical dialogue, both sides recognized a high degree of alignment between Midea Building Technologies’ solutions and Keppel Group’s vision for promoting sustainable urban and building development, identifying significant potential for future collaboration.

As one of Singapore’s largest multinational corporations, Keppel Group is renowned for its innovation, operational excellence, and global outlook. Its businesses span energy, infrastructure, real estate, offshore & marine, and financial services, with a global workforce of approximately 30,000 employees. Keppel Land, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Group, is the world’s second most sustainable diversified real estate developer, focusing on premium residential, commercial, and integrated development projects. Its operations extend across Singapore, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, the United States, and Europe.

This visit not only deepened Keppel Group’s understanding of Midea’s technological strengths and green development practices but also laid a solid foundation for exploring cooperation in multiple areas, including sustainable urban development, smart buildings and communities, integrated energy management, and global market expansion.

Currently, Midea Building Technologies has been awarded the contract for Singapore’s largest government residential district cooling project — the Phase II development of Tengah Town. The two parties aim to jointly inject high-efficiency and green “Midea Intelligence” into this initiative through close and friendly cooperation.

With a shared vision for global green transition and sustainable development, Midea and Keppel will continue to integrate resources, leverage their respective strengths, and foster win-win collaboration. Together, they are committed to delivering more efficient, low-carbon smart building solutions for global clients, contributing to the achievement of carbon neutrality goals and the creation of better living environments worldwide.
