Today is National Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day.

The Midea 4-Door French Door Refrigerator makes storing your kid's favorite foods easy with the PerfectChill drawer. Here's an easy-to-make Chocolate Hazelnut Spread recipe to make with your kids.

This chocolate hazelnut spread is a kids’ favorite over here, especially because they can make most of it by themselves and eat it in many ways! This recipe will make plenty of spread that you can save in your Midea Side by Side, and it can be stored from 1-2 weeks. Making these toasts is a fun way to celebrate National Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day and we know the kids are not the only ones who will enjoy them!

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  •
  • 1 cup raw hazelnuts
  • ½ cup tablespoons of non-dairy milk, hot
  • 1⁄3 cup non-dairy chocolate, melted
  • 5 pitted Medjool dates
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

First, you’ll want to lightly toast your bread slices.  Adults can place shell-free hazelnuts in a food processor and process until a butter texture is achieved, this may take 7-10 minutes.

Add melted chocolate, hot milk, dates, and vanilla extract and continue processing until mixture is well blended.

Once done making your spread with the food processor, the kids can begin to put spread and toppings from your Midea 4-Door French Door Refrigerator on their pieces of toast!
