From October 29 to 30, Midea Building Technologies successfully hosted the Asia-Pacific Partner Conference in Thailand.
Under the theme “BUILDING TOWARDS APEX”, the event featured visits to Midea’s Smart Manufacturing Base in Thailand and a series of thematic sessions, showcasing the company’s latest progress and practical achievements in localized development across the region.

A Firsthand Look at Smart Manufacturing: Where Green Meets Intelligent
The site visit began at the Midea HVAC Solutions Showroom, where guests were introduced to the brand’s full suite of building technology solutions — spanning VRF systems, chiller systems, controllers, and elevator systems. The showroom demonstrated Midea Building Technologies’ strong capabilities and comprehensive product portfolio in the field of smart buildings.

The visit continued to the production lines of Midea’s Thailand factory. Leveraging the “1+3+3+N” smart logistics system, the factory achieves efficient coordination across all stages of production, with extensive deployment of logistics and manufacturing robots to enable flexible, intelligent manufacturing.

In terms of green production, the factory adopts low-GWP refrigerants such as R454B and R290, as well as recyclable materials, actively exploring the integration of environmental sustainability and manufacturing efficiency. Currently, the facility primarily produces HVAC products for the North American market, with plans to gradually expand production to meet the specific needs of Southeast Asia and the local Thai market — further strengthening the regional supply chain and localized service capabilities.
n the factory’s air compressor room and high-efficiency chiller plant, guests gained firsthand insights into Midea Building Technologies’ green industrial solutions.
The air compressor room is equipped with a full suite of self-developed systems by Midea, including one high-capacity centrifugal air compressor and two water-cooled variable frequency screw compressors. These are supported by a power-free refrigerated dryer, low-pressure-drop purification pipelines, and an intelligent management system — together enabling on-demand air supply, smart control, and significant energy savings.
The high-efficiency chiller plant adopts a five-step methodology — Simulation, Design, Control, Construction, and Operation & Maintenance — and integrates magnetic bearing chillers and high-efficiency cooling towers to form a centralized cooling system that maximizes overall energy efficiency. The system is currently operating towards an annual Integrated Part Load Value (IPLV) target of over 6.0, and has already become a benchmark project for medium-temperature chillers and terminals in tropical climates.
trategic Discussions Pave the Way for Asia-Pacific Growth
The conference sessions centered on product innovation, market trends, and regional strategies — offering in-depth insights into Midea Building Technologies’ latest advancements in core products, market expansion, and long-term strategic planning.
