The winners of the Midea Club National Level will depart for China to take part in the ASEAN competition.
Jakarta — Midea Club has selected the five best national technicians to represent Indonesia at the Midea Club ASEAN Flash Installation Tournament 2025 in China. These five technicians competed in preliminary rounds in seven major Indonesian cities and the final round in Jakarta.
From a total of 280 participants in the initial round, 21 finalists were selected from Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Bali, and Surabaya. They then competed in the final round on Sunday, September 22, 2025, competing for the top 10 national positions. Of these 10 winners, the top five: Agung Nugroho, Nanang Eko Setyawan, Tarman, Muhammad Suyono Yatin, and Edy Umar, earned their tickets to the international level.
"This event is not just a competition, but also Midea's way of recognizing the technicians who have been at the forefront of our service. By traveling to China, the winners also gain experience competing on the international stage alongside the best technicians from Southeast Asia," said Ighvar Rabbighfirly, Head of Sales for Residential Air Conditioners at Midea Electronics Indonesia.
Ighvar explained that installers/technicians represent the company directly in the field. Proper and professional AC installation is crucial for the efficiency and longevity of the product. Conversely, installation errors can lead to customer complaints, unit damage, and even a negative brand image. Furthermore, installers are often the first to explain product features, usage instructions, and maintenance to customers. They play a role as brand educators in the field.
As a token of appreciation, the national winners received cash prizes of up to IDR 4,650,000 and travel accommodations to China to participate in the ASEAN competition.
Meanwhile, at the international level, three ASEAN champions will receive substantial prizes:
"With these prestigious prizes, we want to emphasize that technician skills deserve the highest recognition," Ighvar concluded.
