Yogyakarta, October 15, 2026 – Midea Electronics Indonesia is strengthening its commitment to supporting talent development in Indonesia through a strategic partnership with the Indonesia Career Center Network (ICCN). The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during ICCN Summit 2026, held at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) on Thursday (October 15).
ICCN Summit 2026 is an annual event taking place from October 15–17, 2026, under the theme “Transforming Career Centers: Building Adaptive Talent to Face Global Challenges.” The event features various strategic programs designed to strengthen collaboration among universities, industries, and the government in human resource development. These include a Scientific Conference, Panel Sessions, Industry Gathering, Workshops, and MoU signings with several industry partners.
ICCN President Dr. Rosaria Mita Amalia, S.S., S.IP., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of the role and adaptability of university career centers in responding to an increasingly dynamic job market.
“Through ICCN Summit 2026, we are committed to encouraging the transformation of university career centers so they can produce graduates who are not only competent but also ready to adapt to rapid technological advancements and the needs of global industries,” said Dr. Rosaria Mita Amalia.
The three-day event brought together 210 participants from 110 universities across Indonesia and 20 industry partners. The forum also featured practitioners and speakers from various fields, including education, industry, human resource development, and the digital ecosystem.
One of the speakers was Astri Purnamasari, Head of Human Resources & Operations at Midea Electronics Indonesia, who shared an industry perspective on evolving talent needs and the importance of preparing young people to navigate changes in the workplace.
Midea’s participation in ICCN Summit 2026 extended beyond discussion sessions and was further strengthened by the signing of an MoU between Midea Electronics Indonesia and ICCN. The signing was attended by Jack Ding, President Director of Midea Electronics Indonesia, accompanied by Astri Purnamasari and Hafizh Maulana, Head of Marketing Communications at Midea Electronics Indonesia.
This partnership marks a step forward for Midea in strengthening industry involvement in preparing talent to meet business needs and evolving industry demands.
“As Midea’s business in Indonesia continues to grow, the need for competent, adaptive talent ready to face global challenges is becoming increasingly important. Universities and career centers play a strategic role in preparing graduates to meet industry needs and navigate the dynamics of the workplace. Through our collaboration with ICCN, we hope to strengthen our relationships with universities while creating more opportunities to share industry insights, develop competencies, and explore career opportunities,” said Astri.
Through this partnership, Midea aims to expand collaboration opportunities with universities across Indonesia through career readiness programs, industry knowledge-sharing initiatives, and activities that provide students with direct exposure to the workplace. The collaboration is expected to strengthen the connection between higher education and industry needs.
Through its participation in ICCN Summit 2026 and its partnership with ICCN, Midea reaffirms its commitment not only to growing its business in Indonesia but also to supporting the development of a more adaptive talent ecosystem that is ready to meet future industry needs.
